Laurie Marie Hossler

Laurie Marie Hossler, 68, of Hanover, PA died peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Pottstown Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pottstown. Born June 23, 1956 in Moses Lake, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Willaim C. Mackinzie Jr. and Beulah (Boots) E. Mackinzie, nee Glass. Laurie was married to Mark Hossler and mother to Chelsea Hatch of Columbus, GA. Laurie is survived by brother, Paul Mackinzie and wife Deb of Matthews, NC; sister, Joyce Meckley and husband Randy of Hanover, PA; and brother, Bill Mackinzie and wife Christine of Orlando, FL.

Laurie was a graduate of Bauder Fashion College in Miami. She worked briefly as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines but then dedicated her life to fashion design in Atlanta, GA and eventually opened her own shop in Hanover, PA.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown MD 21787.

A graveside service, for family, will be held January 21, 2025 at Keysville Union Cemetery, 7301 Keysville Rd., Keymar, MD 21757, with Reverend Donnie Henss officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
