On Friday May 8, 2026, Lois Kay Cook passed away peacefully at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born in Finksburg, MD on February 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sherwood and Glova Kay née Armacost. She was the loving wife of the late Hubert T. Cook Jr.

Lois made her family her top priority in life. She loved to spend time with her family and was always up to a road trip. She enjoyed shopping for antiques and going to yard sales. She had a knack for decorating and was a very creative and artistic person. In her later years she became an accomplished IPad user. She enjoyed facetimes with family, texting, emailing and researching.

Lois is survived by her children: Millie Eckhardt and her husband Bruce, Terry Seiden and her husband Jay, Christine Hastings and her husband Bobby, Ted Cook and his wife Betse, and Wade Cook and his wife Lu. Lois is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her sister June Twigg. Lois cherished the many friends and staff that she embraced as family during the 28 years she resided at Carroll Lutheran Village.
