Lois Virginia Peters

Lois Virginia Goodermuth Peters, 85, of Taneytown, MD passed away January 6, 2025 at Westminster Health Center in Westminster, MD. Born December 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John W. Goodermuth and Helen M. Goodermuth Peters.

Lois enjoyed tole painting and spending time with family and friends. She would go to Longaberger in Newark, Ohio with friends, collecting baskets and pottery. She worked at McDonalds, as a private investigator and at B&L Heating and Air Conditioning. She was a member of Gettysburg Foursquare Church in Gettysburg, PA.

She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Peters Sr.; son Robert Ainsley and wife, Kathy of Edgewood, MD; sisters, Helen M. Goodermuth Smith of Littlestown, PA and Linda M. Goodermuth Sauble of Fayetteville, PA; grandchildren, Robert M. “Michael” Peters III of Taneytown, MD, Roseanna Ainsley of American Canyon, CA, Bobby Ainsley of Belcamp, MD and Shelby Ainsley Scarlatta of Myersville, MD; and one great-grandchild.

She is predeceased by her son, Robert M. “Robb” Peters, Jr. and his wife, Valerie Truman Peters.

Cremation services were provided by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, Taneytown, MD.
