Margaret Jane Morley

January 27, 1950 — July 6, 2025

Margaret Jane (Waggoner) Morley, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away peacefully on July 6th, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 75 years old.

Born on January 27, 1950, in Weston, West Virginia, Margaret Jane was the first daughter of the late George W. Sr. and Mildred (Wilson) Waggoner. She grew up with her three siblings—George Jr., Raymond, and Dolores—and cherished her role as both sister and friend in their close-knit family.

Margaret Jane graduated from Kenwood High School in Essex, Maryland, in 1968 and attended Essex Community College. Not long after, on January 25, 1969, she married the love of her life, Lloyd F. Morley, II, in Sparrows Point, Maryland. Together they built a beautiful life full of laughter, hard work, and devotion to their family. Their 56 years of marriage were a testament to love, partnership, and shared adventure.

A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, Margaret Jane poured her heart into her family. She stayed home to raise her two sons, Matthew and Mark, giving them a childhood filled with care, guidance, and her homemade meals—always served with love. When her boys grew up, she began a new chapter, working in sales and the food services industry until her retirement.

Margaret Jane had a gift for making a house a home. She loved cooking, sewing, and quilting, and her handiwork and recipes will continue to warm the hearts of those she leaves behind. She and Lloyd shared a passion for the Model A Ford hobby, and both were proud to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Faith was the cornerstone of Margaret Jane’s life. As a member of the Methodist Church, she found joy and purpose in helping others, participating in the United Methodist Women’s organization, and supporting outreach efforts like Red Bird Missions and missionary Connie Wieck.

Those who knew her will remember her kindness, her willingness to lend a hand, and her quiet strength. She touched many lives with her generosity and her warm, steady presence.

Margaret Jane is survived by her husband, Lloyd; her sons Matthew Morley and his wife Laila of Finksburg, Maryland, and Mark Morley and his wife Kara of Westminster, Maryland; and her five beloved grandchildren: Aidan, Ian, James, Abigail, and Magdalena. She is also survived by her older brother, Raymond C. Waggoner and his wife Colona (Jo) of Burlington, Kentucky, and her younger sister, Dolores E. Small and her husband David Small of Nutter Fort, West Virginia.

She is now reunited in peace with her parents, her older brother George W. Waggoner Jr., and his wife Elma Waggoner of Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
