Mark Steven Haga, 45, of Sykesville, Maryland passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
Born on Wednesday, March 5, 1980 in Carroll County, he was the son of James Robert Haga, Sr. and Elizabeth Haga née Howes. Mark had a great joy and passion for life, with his greatest joy in making those around him laugh and smile. He was the prankster of his family and loved sharing his knowledge of jokes with his nephew, Steven. He was also very close with his sister, Kellie and she was his eternal sidekick. As they grew into adults, the siblings remained best friends and confidants, sharing the same friends, life achievements, and life’s joys and sorrows.
In his spare time, Mark enjoyed fishing with his father, James, watching movies, reading, playing card games and having poker nights. At the time of his passing, Mark was utilizing his immense artistic talent to illustrate and compose his own comic book. He was also a lifelong Baltimore Sports fan, supporting both the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. Additionally, Mark was deeply passionate about Native American history and culture, being involved with the Cherokee Brotherhood for many years.
He is predeceased by his wife, Jessica Bull-Haga. He is survived by his parents, James Robert Haga, Sr. and Elizabeth Haga; brother James Robert Haga, Jr. and wife, Karen; sister, Kellie Danielle Haga-Reed, and nephew, Steven.
The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 25th, 2025 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157), with a funeral service following from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m..
