Mary Susan Compton

Mary Susan Compton, 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, at her residence in Emmitsburg, MD. Born on April 26, 1959 in Silver Spring, MD to the late Ethel and late Howard Morrison, she was the loving wife of 50 years to Allen Jackson Compton, the devoted mother of Scott Compton and his wife, Amy, Krista Bollinger and her husband, Wayne; cherished grandmother of Madison, Devin, Tyler, Jacob, Abigail, Owen, dear great grandmother of Walker; and caring sister of Judy.

Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, and vacationing on the beaches of Ocean City, MD.

A visitation will be held at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown on Wednesday, September 9th from 11 AM to 12 PM. A graveside service will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 2190 Mount View Rd., Marriottsville at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in person or to their GoFundMe to offset funeral expenses.
