Mary Elizabeth Hansen Krogh passed away Wednesday evening on September 10th, 2025, at age 90. She was born on June 4th, 1935 in Winchcombe, England, but her home was in the United States for the last 70 years.
Those who knew her will remember her as impeccably proper with a sharp wit and feisty spirit. She was unapologetically herself and lived on her own terms. She loved fiercely and had a way of making people laugh. Known for her elegance and keen eye for beauty, she had a lifelong love of antiques and had a natural flair for interior design. A devoted admirer of classical music, she often found solace and inspiration in its harmonies.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Jane Osborne, and grandson, Jonas Krogh.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Hans Hansen Krogh, her daughters, Margrethe Krogh and Annelise (Tim) Kavanaugh, by her grandchildren, Noelle Tewell, Luke Kavanaugh, Walker Tewell, Jason Kavanaugh, Liam Kavanaugh, and by her sister, Caroline Schuetz.
Uncompromising and unforgettable, Mary was both spirited and deeply cherished by those fortunate enough to share in her journey. Her laughter, her stories and her love will echo in our hearts forever.
