Michael Joseph Devine

Michael Joseph Devine, long time resident of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully at the Dove House at the age of 68. He is the loving son of Donald E. and Dorothy C. Devine. Mike was hard working and focused, obtaining multiple degrees at UMBC and Johns Hopkins, with a final Master's Degree in Engineering. His distinguished 35 year career included Defense Engineer at Westinghouse and Northrup-Grumman, Business Systems Analyst at Hopkins Hospital, their Visiting Nurses Assoc., and Care First, creating behind-the-scenes solutions to healthcare delivery systems. He loved working with his colleagues and became friends with many, who enjoyed his kidding and warm personality. Mike's passion was the Ravens and 'drilling down' and getting 'into it' with his family, friends and buddies, as a home team member of the Ravens' Nest. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. Mike had a deep love of animals and even taught his old dog new tricks. He took such good care of his adopted cat, Mo, that lived to age of 17. Mike deeply loved his family. He is survived by his loving sister, Janet Devine of MD, sister, Elaine Devine, his loving cousins, Carol, Nancy, Linda and Patty of PA, Margy of FL, Bob of VA, Dan of CA, and Gail of AZ. We wish to thank everyone at Carroll Hospital and the Dove House, who provided Mike with the most constant, compassionate and loving care on his journey.
