Nancy Wetzel

Nancy Nadean Wetzel, 82, of Emmitsburg, MD, died January 11, 2026, at her home. Born March 3, 1943, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Grimes) Moser. Nancy was the devoted wife of the late Robert June Wetzel.

Nancy worked as a seamstress for many years before retiring. She enjoyed Sunday drives and crabbing with her husband, Junie, before his passing, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by daughters, Betty Ward, and Mary Mitchell and husband Steve; step-children, Tim Wetzel, and Melissa Wetzel-Dewees; grandchildren, Luisa Buntin and husband Rich, Mathew Miller, Elizabeth Watts and husband Ron, Mark Miller, and Sally Mitchell; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; siblings, Carrie Young, Becky King, Catherine Stone, Patsy Wetzel, Charles Moser, Merel Moser, and Gary Moser; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was predeceased by sisters, Betty Bauerline, Estella Wetzel, and Louise Stone.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 210 W Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
