Nelson Rodriguez

Nelson Rodriguez, age 71, beloved husband, father, and grandfather of Westminster, Md passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026 at home. 

Born on December 29, 1954, in Ponce Puerto Rico, Nelson was the loving husband of the late Wanda Rodriguez-Barros and the son of the late José Rodriguez-Torres and Guadelupe Barros. Nelson spent his entire life providing for his family working as a laborer before he retired to dedicate his time to take care of his beloved Wanda before her passing in April of 2020.

 He loved to spend time with his family and truly enjoyed when all his children and grandchildren were together to celebrate the holidays. Nelson was a spiritual man which he displayed proudly through artwork, music, and when giving advice. His favorite thing to do was cook and he loved to take walks.

 Surviving are his children and their spouses: Nelson Wayne Rodriguez-Barros and Kerri Simms of Westminster, Heather Randall of Westminster, Lisa and Evin McCarroll of Taneytown, and Jenean and William Dearing of Westminster; and grandchildren Kendrick, Corey, Stephen, Jordan, Arianna, Makayla, Nevaeh, Lucas, Brendon, Mason, and Karlyee.

Funeral services will be held at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME located at 91 Willis St Westminster, MD 21157 on Wednesday July 15,2026.  Interment will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
