Nolan V. Weaver, 75, of Westminster, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Carroll Hospital Center, after a brave battle with COVID-19. Born April 15, 1945 in Portland, IN, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Hathaway) Wegmer and the late Melvin P. Weaver. He was the stepson of the late Frederick S. Wegmer. He was the devoted husband of Carolyn Sue (Greenholtz) Weaver, his wife of 56 years.
Nolan was a graduate of Monterrey Pacific High School in California, class of ’64. He worked as a machinist at Black and Decker in Hampstead and Mac Machine in Windsor Mills, MD. Nolan was an avid bowler of more than 46 years. He competed all over the United States in the Men’s Nationals annual tournament. He loved to travel. His favorite destination was Honolulu, Hawaii. In his retirement, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, yearly family vacations to Ocean City, MD, casino gambling, and watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Carolyn, are sons, Jeffrey Weaver (Beth) of Hanover, PA, and John Weaver (Stacy) of Westminster; daughter, Julie Willis (Sean) of Westminster; daughter-in-law, Ruth Bupp (Chad) of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver, Michael Weaver, Gabrielle Gowe, Sean Willis Jr, Jordynn DiNatale, Ryan Willis, and Alex Weaver; great-grandchildren, Zachary Whiteford, Jhonen Sullivan, Trenton Sullivan, Adalyn Weaver, Aaron James Willis, Savannah Weaver, Cole Weaver, and Colin Gowe. Nolan is also remembered by special friends, Ron and Nancy Bowen. He was predeceased by his sister, Fraunzie Pullin.
Due to the COVID pandemic, services are private. A celebration of Nolan’s life will be held at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
