Patricia Mae Burnett, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Terraces in Westminster, surrounded by her family. Born February 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry Arthur Gosnell and Dorothy Pearl Gosnell, nee Norris. She was the loving wife to the late James Ross Burnett, Sr., whom passed in 1996.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, completing puzzle games, specifically playing Mahjong twice a week, any dessert that she came across, and going to the movies. She was a great mom and easy to talk to; her children would call her all of the time to chat. Most importantly, Patricia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Lynne Haberkam and husband Chip of Sarasota, FL, Wendy Hevey and husband Tom of Westminster, Jim Burnett, Jr. of Reisterstown, and Terry Smith of Willards; grandchildren, Jason Hevey and fiancée Holly of New Oxford, PA, Chris Hevey and wife Marie of Cypress, TX, and Katie Hevey and fiancé Mickey of Westminster; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ethan, Miles, Stella, Abel, Carter, and Lilly; and great-great-grandchildren, Gracen and Finnleigh; sister Ann Berger and husband Al of Sarasota, FL; and niece, Debra Volack and husband Greg of Sarasota, FL. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Cathy Burnett.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, Maryland 21787. The interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
