It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Pauline E. Keeney, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Pauline peacefully departed this world on May 26, 2026, at her home, surrounded by love and cherished memories. Born on July 7, 1947, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Pauline lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Her career was marked by dedication and hard work. Pauline contributed her skills and talents at Freedman Shoe and Lion Brothers, and later found her calling in caring for others as a housekeeper at Super 8 Motel and Lorien Nursing Home in Taneytown. Her work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike, and she took pride in every role she undertook.

Beyond her professional life, Pauline found joy in the simple pleasures. She enjoyed the comfort of watching TV and the thrill of shopping, activities that brought her relaxation and a sense of connection with the world around her. These hobbies were a testament to her ability to find happiness in everyday moments and to appreciate the beauty in life's small details.

Pauline's greatest joy and pride were her family. She is survived by her devoted son, John Keeney, and his wife, Melissa Keeney (Townshend), who were a constant source of love and support. Her granddaughter, Taylor Keeney, held a special place in her heart, as Pauline embraced the role of a doting grandmother with enthusiasm and joy. Her sister, Virginia Miller, and brother, Richard Leppo, along with her cousin, Michael Warner, were among her closest confidants. Pauline's love extended to her furry companion, Marley, who brought her endless companionship and comfort.

Pauline was the cherished daughter of William and Betty Keeney, both of whom preceded her in death. She carried their legacy of love and compassion throughout her life, always embodying the gentle spirit they instilled in her. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, offering support and comfort in any way she could.

In celebrating Pauline's life, we remember a woman whose heart was as vast as her kindness, a woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who are eternally grateful for the moments shared and the love she so freely gave.

Though she has left this earthly realm, Pauline's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and honored by all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her light.

The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD. (21787) on Thursday May 28, 2026 for visitation from 5-8pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 8pm with Pastor David L. Meador officiating. Interment is private and will be held for family and close friends to honor her life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Pauline's name, as a tribute to her giving spirit and compassionate nature. Online condolences may be made to www.myersdurborawfh.com. May Pauline E. Keeney rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
