Pauline F. Kowalczyk

Pauline F. Kowalczyk, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025.

She was born on October 26, 1940, in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Arthur and Betty Cribbs. Pauline dedicated her life to being a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Kowalczyk; and children, Susan (Richard) Boschert, Gail (Tom) Kroger, Mary (Gary) Rottman, Joe (Jodi) Kowalczyk, Amy (Mike) Meyer-Crouse, and Cathy (Andy) Whitfield; daughter-in-law, Rose Kowalczyk; sisters, Helen Horwedel, and Rita Labelle; twenty grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Pauline was predeceased by son, Paul Kowalczyk; son-in-law, Rick Meyer; sisters, Ann Esperti, and Bernice Parillo; brother, Martin Cribbs; and grandchildren, Alexandria Kowalczyk, Joseph Kowalczyk, and Anna Joy Whitfield.

Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 30, at 10:45 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, with Reverend Richard Lyons presiding. Burial will follow the Mass, in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
