Richard Eugene Wagaman

Richard Eugene Wagaman, age 68, of Taneytown, passed unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2025, at his home. Born in Gettysburg PA, he was the son of Betty Jean Wagaman and the late Buddy Richard Wagaman. He was the loving husband of Dianne Elizabeth Wagaman for 32 years.

Richard worked most of his career installing utilities and recently retired from Rill’s Construction. He was a diehard Redskins and NASCAR fan, loved watching football, riding horses, and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by children, Ted & Vicki Rill of Taneytown MD, Tina & Jeff Six of Taneytown, Rodney & Theresa Rill of Taneytown, and Ryan & Tracy Rill of Taneytown; siblings, Connie & Mike Hammett of Thurmont, Deb & Dick Strausbaugh of Waynesboro PA, and Cathy & Mike Brown of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
