Richard Lee “Bud” Hahn, 79, of Taneytown, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Gettysburg Hospital. Born March 28, 1943, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Walter Hahn and Pauline Myrtle Sentz Hahn. He was the loving husband to Linda Hahn.
He was a dairy farmer for most of his life, as well as working at Wantz Chevrolet, he took great pride in running the family farm. He built and owned the Hahn & Turner Blue Mountain express dragster, and enjoyed attending car shows. You could often find him driving around with his dogs, and lovingly spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Tony Hahn, and Craig (Candy) Hahn, both of Taneytown; grandchildren, Tabatha Hahn, of Harrisburg PA, Tyler and Brady Hahn, and Brianna Hahn-Grimes, all of Taneytown; sister, Lois (Randy) Smith, of Eldersburg; great-grandchildren, Carter, Mason, Aubrey, and Jaxon Hahn, Rhea Chambers, and Jada Lugo; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart Jr, and Pastor Cris Frigm officiating. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 11:00 am.
