Sarah Faye Messiano

Sarah Faye Messiano, age 90, passed away at BridgingLife in Westminster, Maryland, on Friday, October 16, 2026. Born March 8, 1936, in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Archie Dee Youngblood and Ollie Bea (Barton) Youngblood. Sarah had 4 sisters, Melba, Betty, Dorothy and Janice.

Sarah’s true passion was her relationship with her LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. She spent countless hours reading and studying her Bible. This brought her comfort throughout her life and as she neared the end of her earthly journey, crossing peacefully into the waiting arms of JESUS.

Sarah worked at various jobs. Her last job was a Med Tech at Sunrise assisted living.

Sarah is survived by her children, the oldest son George Verry Jr. of West Virginia; one and only daughter Belinda Gleason and her husband, Edward, of Maryland; Thomas Verry and his wife, Georgia, of Maryland; Michael Verry, of North Carolina; Gregory Verry and his wife, Karena, of North Carolina; and Anthony Messiano Jr. and his wife, Tirza, of Virginia.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven Gleason, Bradley Gleason, Melissa Verry, Chris Verry, Jason Verry, Andrew Verry, Emily Hagens, Gregory Verry Jr., Amanda Verry, Tara Verry, Lathan Verry, and Timothy Messiano.

Sarah survived by great grandchildren, Chad, Tyler, Bree, Ethan, Byron, Alaina, Alivia, Allen, Eleanor Sarah (that was named after her great grandmother), Harper, Christian and Lucas.

And she just welcomed her great great grandchild, Lucy.
