Scott Day Browning

Scott Day Browning, age 51, of Fairfield, PA, formerly of Smithsburg, MD lost his courageous battle with MSA on Sunday, January 5th surrounded by his family. Born November 18, 1973 in Damascus, MD he is the son of Douglas D. Browning and Shirley E. Devilbiss. 

Surviving are his children; Ryan Browning, Morgan Browning, ex-wife; Stefanie Browning, siblings; Douglas Browning (Judy), Lori Snyder (Shawn), Kathy Hinton (Cory), nephews; Todd Browning, Austin Snyder, Liam Hinton, nieces; Annabelle Browning, Ellie Snyder, Addison Snyder, step-brother; Nils Nilsen (Becky).

Scott spent his career working for Montgomery County Transportation Department and enjoyed his years at the Damascus Depot. He most loved cooking, riding all of his toys - either 4 wheels or 2 and spending time with his family, friends and his dog Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his stepdad James Devilbiss, and stepmother Janet Browning.

Visitation will be held at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, MD, 210 West Main St. Emmitsburg, MD 21727 on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. Inurnment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Antietam Humane Society or your charity of choice.
