Scott "Scottie" Glenn Ross II, 33, of Westminster, Maryland, passed away on February 25, 2026. He was born on August 26, 1992, to Scott Ross and Elaine (Trumpower) Ross, in Columbia, Maryland.

When Scott was young, his family moved to Eldersburg, Maryland, where he attended Liberty High School from 2006 to 2010. After high school, he returned to Liberty High School to coach football, giving back to the program that shaped him and mentoring young athletes with the same passion he once played with. At the time of his passing, he was in his second year as a baseball umpire with the Mason Dixon Umpire Association. He was also working as an instructional assistant in special education at Oklahoma Road Middle School.

In 2021 Scott met Caitlin Worden, and on February 3, 2023, the two were married in Frederick Maryland.

Scott was an incredible husband, son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Caitlin; his mother, Elaine Ross; his father, Scott Ross; his sisters, Kimberly (Kris) Emery and Kelly (Dan) Marohl; nieces and nephews Taylor and Alex Emery, and Tenley and Max Marohl. He is also survived by beloved extended family members. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Center Pavilion at Freedom Park, located at 100 Raincliffe Rd., Sykesville, MD 21784.

Dress is business casual and comfortable for an outdoor gathering. We encourage everyone to wear Ravens, Orioles, Maryland Terps, or Liberty High School blue and gold—anything Scottie would have worn himself. Please avoid traditional funeral black; this day is meant to reflect Scottie’s spirit, his teams, and his colors.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his wife, Caitlin, for family support and to help cover the cost of Scott’s Celebration of Life.
