Steven Westley Nelson

Steven Westley Nelson, 63, of Taneytown, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025 at Union Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born January 6, 1962 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, he was the cherished son of the late Darrell Francis and Joan T. Nelson, née Weaver; he is survived by the loving mother of his children, Tammy Marie Topper of Thurmont; devoted father of his daughters Alexis Marie Nelson, Brittney Camp, and Ashley Marie Hansbrough; and caring grandfather of Braxton, Connor, Colt, Nate, Nevaeh, Nariyah, and Nova. He is predeceased by his best friend, Roger Airing.
Steven proudly worked as a painter for many years. In his spare time, he was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR spending many weekend days watching both with his Best Friend Roger, while enjoying some cold Budweiser. He is truly going to be missed by all who knew and loved him.
