Thomas Franklin Tracey (Tom), 95 of Westminster, passed away on Friday April 3, 2026, at Brightview Westminster Ridge. Born on March 17, 1931, in Rockville, MD, he had just celebrated his 95th birthday with a gathering of family and friends. He was the son of the late Thomas E. Tracey and Grace C. Tracey nee Collette. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Nancy L. Tracey in 2022. Tom and Nancy met in 1954 at the Rainbow Roller Rink in Taneytown.

He was predeceased by brothers Donald E. Tracey and Robert K. Tracey and sister Elise Ruth Rickets. He was a 1948 graduate of Westminster High School. Tom served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Deuel 160, 1950-1954.

Tom spent his early years on his family farm just outside of Westminster. Throughout life, he had many careers, but he always considered himself a farmer. In 1960, he joined his father-in-law to run their dairy farm on Brick Church Road in New Windsor. He and Nancy built their home on the farm and lived there for 60 years. Tom followed dairy farming with crop farming and worked with his brother-in-law, Bobby Graham at Graham’s service station from 1980 – 1996. After retiring from farming in 2010, Tom and Nancy enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and cruising the Caribbean with friends and family.

Tom was a life-long member of St. John’s Leisters Lutheran Church in Westminster. He was active in the New Windsor Lion’s Club and was awarded the Melvin Jones Award for community service in 2014. He was also an active member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau.
