Thomas Michael Woerner, 75, of Westminster, Maryland died on Friday, December 11, 2020 at home.
Born June 27, 1945 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late George H. and Irene (Wescoat) Woerner.
Tom was a graduate of Glassboro, NJ H.S., and Glassboro State College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He owned and operated BioFX Laboratory, Inc., and later Silver Star Technologies and worked as a scientist, holding five chemical patents. He was a member of the VFW Westminster, D.A.V. Westminster, and the American Legion Westminster.
Surviving are daughters, Heather McKay and husband Rhett of Perryville, and Heidi DeVeas and husband Bruce of Westminster; brother, George Woerner and wife MaryAnn of Glassboro, NJ; grandchildren, Hunter McKay and Kane DeVeas; girlfriend, Laura Matchett of Westminster; and several nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic memorial services with military honors will be private for family and invited friends on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. For those unable to attend, services will be livestreamed from our website at (https://www.facebook.com/MDFHWestminster). Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
