Barbara Ann (Rosensteel) Arnold

Barbara Ann Arnold, 85, of Taneytown, MD passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.  Born November 12, 1935 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Kelly) Rosensteel.  She was the devoted wife of George Arnold, Jr., her husband of almost 65 years.

Barbara was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Emmitsburg, class of ’52, and St. Joseph College, class of ’56, where she earned degrees in Business and English.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.  She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her beloved husband George, are children, Paul Arnold of Taneytown, Kathy Devilbiss and husband Tom of Taneytown, Teresa DiMauro and husband Rick of Joppa, Debbie Myers and husband Tom of East Berlin, PA, Tony Arnold and wife Sue of Hampstead, Jeanne Ball and husband Jim of Baldwin, Cindy Welker and husband Byron of New Windsor, Brian Arnold and wife Pam of Potomac, and Tricia Hitchner and husband Jamie of Littlestown, PA; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial, private for immediate family members only, will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD.
