Catherine Elizabeth Kline

Catherine Elizabeth Kline, age 89, of Taneytown, MD, died peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022, at the Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown. Born October 7, 1933, in Taneytown, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Fury) Sowers.
Catherine worked at Cambridge Rubber factory and then at Littlestown Manufacturing as a seamstress until retiring. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found joy in watching the birds and squirrels, good old fashion home cooking and sewing.
Catherine is survived her children, Virginia West and husband James of Hanover, PA, Dale Kline and wife Sharon of Westminster,  Donna Stambaugh and husband Mike of Union Bridge, Joanne Haines and husband Garry of Taneytown; grandchildren, Wade West, Jessica Yingling, Dale, Jr., Joshua, and Samuel Kline, Brandon Hinkhaus, and Sarah Haines; 16 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Russell Kline in 2009 and son, Russell Albertus Kline, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with a Funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., with her grandson Pastor Dale Kline officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Taneytown.
