Darrell Clinton White

Darrell Clinton White, 80, of Westminster, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 2, 1943 in Mt. Nebo, WV, he was the son to the late Vida Doras Houffman and Harry Clayton White. He was the loving husband to Robin Elaine Diehl Maggard White, who would have celebrated 30 years of marriage this coming October.

He was a career truck driver for 58 years. He has travelled millions of miles during his lifetime, earning many safety awards and making friends wherever he went. After meeting him the first time, you would never forget him because he would always uplift you and leave you with a smile. A huge passion of his was drag racing, as he had owned several drag cars throughout the years. When he was not trucking, he loved to sing and go to karaoke. He was a member of Moose since 1984.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Brian White and wife Jennifer, Troy White and companion Victoria Zellner, Chad White and wife Donna, and Brad White and wife Stacey; step-sons, Jess and Jason Maggard; siblings Don Moses, Gene Moses, Daniel Moses, David Moses, Dennis Moses, and Carla Clark; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene White; brother Dale White; and first wife, Leona Mae Spiker White.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 p.m., on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the funeral home, with Pastor Jared Pankhurst officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Darrell's name to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601.
