David Loyd

David James Loyd, 55, of Taneytown, MD died on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.  Born October 10, 1964 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Loyd and the late Cecile Adele (Dennis) Butler.  He was the devoted husband of Michele (Atkinson) Loyd.

Dave was a courier for Freedom Logistics in Bowie, MD.  He was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins.  He was also a fan of the Nationals and enjoyed watching NASCAR and collecting sports memorabilia.  In previous years, he played, coached and umpired softball.  Dave loved going to the beach, listening to music, and spending time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Michele, are daughter, Tiffany Loyd of NC; step-children, Amber Cazer of Washington, D.C. and Tyler Cazer of VA; sisters, Camille Contino of Shady Side, MD and Michelle Mumford of Hughesville, MD; 8 grandchildren; nephews, Tyler, Cole and Logan; niece, Lindsay; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and additional nieces and nephews.

Services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
