Evelyn Miller Obituary

Evelyn Frances “Till” Miller, 93, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Bethania Assisted Living in Westminster.  Born in Keyser, WV in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Pearl (Miller) Martin.  She was the devoted wife of the late William H. Miller, to whom she was married for 70 years.

Evelyn, along with her husband William, was owner/operator of a fleet of school buses for many years.  She was a member of Uniontown United Methodist Church, where she was very active prior to her illness.  She lived and worked on the same farm outside Taneytown her entire married life.  She was known as an excellent cook and gardener.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy Shultz and husband Dean of Gettysburg, PA; son, Leonard Miller and wife Corinthia of Taneytown; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Martin and her sister, Etta Stewart.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Uniontown United Methodist Church, 3405 Uniontown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158 with Pastor Darrell Davis officiating.  Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of the service.  Burial will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name may be made to Uniontown United Methodist Church at the above address.  Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown.
