Geraldine Barzal Obituary

Geraldine Barzal, nee Stall, was born on August 20, 1928, in Baltimore, MD and was the daughter of George A. Stall Jr. and Verna Baldwin Stall. Gerry passed away on November 16, 2021, at the age of 93.  She was the loving wife of Walter J. Barzal Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances L. Bauernschub and her late husband Martin (Buzz); and her sons, Walter J. Barzal, Jr. and wife Brenda, Steven D. Barzal and wife Claudia, and John A. Barzal, Sr. and wife Sarah. She was the devoted grandmother of Lisa D. Bowen and husband Daren, Lori L. Reese and husband David, S. Michael Barzal, Thomas A. Barzal, John A. Barzal, Jr. and wife Chelsea, Andrew J. Barzal, Matthew C. Barzal; and great grandchildren Brady T. Bowen, Colby R. Bowen and Dylan J. Reese.

Throughout her life she was a devoted Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She served in numerous ministries including junior church, track ministry, nursing home ministry, and Captain of the prayer chain. Her lifelong hobbies included gardening, cooking, crocheting, serving others and sharing her Christian faith.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 9 to 10 am. A funeral service will begin at 10 am at the Calvary Baptist Church, 7321 Manchester Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BridgingLife Health, formerly Dove House, c/o Development Office, 200 Memorial Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
