Irene Dyson

M. Irene Dyson, age 82, of Glenville, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at UMPC Hanover. Born April, 7 1940 in Woodlawn, MD, she was the daughter of the late Louis E. McDermott and Eleanor B. Snyder. She was the wife of William “Bill” R. Dyson, her husband of 56 years.

Irene was a clerk in the banking industry. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Bill, are a son, Randy Davis of Westminster; grandchildren Ashlee Linton and husband Damien, Brandon Davis and wife Rae, and Chase Davis; great-grandchildren, Briella Linton, Rhys, Kellen, Gunner and Mikaio Davis; a brother Herbert McDermott. Also remembered by her former daughter-in-law, Esther Ambrose and husband Chris. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Davis, granddaughter Isabella Linton, brothers Louis McDermott and Harry McDermott; sisters, Charlotte Christy and Louise Renard.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dave Meador officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and again from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
