Lucille Regina Carter, nee Hobbs, 95, of Westminster, formerly of Catonsville, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at her residence at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born January 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. Hobbs and Nettie E. Hobbs, nee Smith. She was the loving wife to the late James R. Carter, Sr.
She was a dental receptionist for many years in Catonsville. She enjoyed playing bingo, family gatherings, and being with her many friends at CLV.
Surviving are children, Gary Carter and wife Karen of Sykesville, Tina Kraft and husband Buddy of Westminster; grandchildren, MaryLu, Kimberly, Jamie, and Lee; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by son, James R. Carter, Jr.; and sisters, Gladys Schaub, and Joanne Rolfe.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157; and again, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village. A funeral service will begin in the Krug chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
