Marie "Nan" A. (Overholtzer) Selby

     Marie Antoinette “Nan” (Overholtzer) Selby, age 89, of Harney, MD died on Friday, August 18, 2023 at BridgingLife, formerly Dove House Hospice in Westminster. Born March 3, 1934 near Emmitsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Melvin F. and Mary M. (Keckler) Overholtzer. She was the wife of the late Carroll E. “Pap” Selby, her husband of 71 years, who died May 12, 2022.

     Nan was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harney, MD. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Nan adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Surviving are daughter Pamela Crawmer of Westminster; sons Jeffrey Selby and significant other Sue Mercer of Knoxville, MD and Scott Selby of New Castle, DE; daughter-in-law, Gloria Selby of Hanover, PA.; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Selby; brothers, Wilbur, George, Donald, Sterling (Hank), Chester, Roy, William, Melvin Jr., John (Ray), and Dennis Overholtzer; sisters, Dorothy Beatrice Fair, Grace Irene Koontz, Mary Jane Rose, Coralea Riggeal, Wanda Strickhouser and Janet Kriet.

     A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 5918 Conover Rd, Taneytown, MD 21787 with Rev. Peter Naschke officiating.
