Patricia Raye (Cooper) Wood

     Patricia Raye (Cooper) Wood, age 67, of Taneytown, died on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Born February 17, 1956 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Chester and Janet (Saalfeld) Cooper. She was the wife of David L. Wood, her husband of 42 years.

     Patricia worked for over 25 years as an administrative assistant at Reznick Group and PWC. She enjoyed scrapbooking, card making, traveling and relaxing on the beach. Patricia loved spending time with her family and dogs. She could be found on Friday evenings attending Bible Study at Grace Fellowship Chapel. Patricia found great joy being a caregiver for family members.

     Surviving are her husband, David L. Wood; son, Brian Wood of Taneytown, MD; daughter, Dawn Wood of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Joannie Corkrun of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Terry Cooper of OK, many nieces, nephews, cousin and close friends. Patricia was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Michael and Tim Cooper and sister, Barbara L. Baker.

     The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, 10 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Chapel, 20 Bell Road, Westminster, MD 21158, with the Rev. Ryan Ridgely officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
