Richard James Grund

RICHARD JAMES GRUND known by all as RICK, age 76, passed away in his home on August 19th, 2023 in Westminster, MD where he raised two surviving daughters; Traci Grund and Dana Sobus. Rick is also survived by his wife of 54 years of marriage, Christine Grund and grandson Neil James Sobus.

Rick was known for his intelligence, charm and artistic nature. He would spend much of his free time creating paintings in the home for his wife and sketching anything from cars to portraits. His love for cars was apparent when he was able to identify one just by the sound of its engine roaring by. His creative imagination always made for a splendid show during Halloween where he would not only create the costumes, but also apply the make up for his daughter's and even dressing up himself.

He spent most of his career in HVAC beginning with engineering and ending in sales for a firm in which he worked alongside his wife in Gaithersburg, MD.

A private memorial will be held in September.
