Robert Lewis Martin

Robert Lewis "Bob" Martin, 77, of Westminster, MD passed away peacefully on May 20, 2023 at Lorien Taneytown. Born June 1, 1945 in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of the late James Archie Martin and Vicie Jane (Hanson) Martin. He was the husband of the late Janet Louise (Neudecker) Martin, his wife of over 50 years.

He was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School and owned and ran a home improvement business for many years before becoming the HUD inspector for Carroll County. He loved to hunt deer and turkey, go to antique car shows with his 1930 Ford Model A, and spend time with family, especially holiday gatherings and going out to dinner.

Surviving are his son Robert S. Martin (Christina), daughter Amy Fuhrman (Tim Fick), sisters Virginia Hoff and Helen Loar (John), brother Harlan Martin (Patricia), sister-in-law Linda Martin, grandchildren Alex and Gina Martin, many nieces and nephews, and close friend William "Billy" Maynard.

He was predeceased by brothers James Martin and Harold Martin, sister-in-law Myrtle Martin, and brother-in-law Raymond Hoff.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD 21157. A funeral service will begin at 11 am at the funeral home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, with Pastor James Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at St. John (Leister's) Church Cemetery.
