Thomas Stanley Tressler

Thomas Stanley Tressler of Waynesboro Pennsylvania was born November 26, 1944 at home in Emmitsburg, Maryland and passed on to Heaven April 28, 2021 at home in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. He was the beloved husband of Debbia Jane Tressler, nee Myers, united in marriage for 54 years at the Friends Creek Church of God in Emmitsburg Maryland; devoted father of Melissa Jane Turner, nee Tressler, and her husband Stanley of Emmitsburg MD, Amy Sue Cool, nee Tressler, and her husband Stanley of Waynesboro PA, Kristie Welsh of Waynesboro PA;  cherished of brother of Ruth Gleason, nee Tressler, and her husband Duane of Wolfsville, MD and Jim Tressler of Greencastle PA; loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 11 great-grandchildren and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents Jonah Joseph Tressler and Florence Ruth Tressler, nee Hale, his sister Cathy Ann Bowers, nee Tressler, and his grandson Austin Lee Tressler-Welsh.

He attended Thurmont schools in Thurmont Maryland. He worked in wood working at Hoke Furniture Company in Thurmont Maryland and then went on to work at Carlisle Wood Craft in Carlisle Pennsylvania. He enjoyed wood working, nature, farming, and spending time with family. 

The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 210 West Main Street, Emmitsburg (21727).
