Obituary

Toki Ridinger (Sugawara), 91, of Taneytown, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Lorien at Taneytown. She was born April 4, 1931, in Yokosuka Japan.

Toki enjoyed crocheting, knitting and origami. She cherished time spent with her family.

Surviving are daughter, Patricia Douglas and husband Dean of Westminster; son John Ridinger of Taneytown; former husband John T. Ridinger; grandchildren, Lauren Browning and husband Lee of Johnson City, TN, Kristen Douglas of Westminster, Johnathan Ridinger and wife Crystal of Taneytown, and Stacy Wachtel and significant other Eddie Russell of Taneytown; greatgrandchildren, Nicole and Jake Wachtel, Justin Wachtel and wife Amanda, Hannah and Riley Ridinger; great-greatgrandchildren, Alivia, Jameson and Ariah; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Mitsutoshi and Kin Sugawara and daughter Bonnie.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, 5210 Harney Road, Taneytown, MD 21787 at 11am on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, with the Rev. Peter Naschke officiating.
