Wilma Murphey Obituary

Wilhelmina “Wilma” A. Murphey, 96, of Sykesville, Maryland died peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.

Born on January 29, 1924 in Jennings, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late William and Wilhelmina J. (Oepts) Armerding. She was the wife of the late William E. Murphey, who predeceased her in 2003.

Surviving are daughter, Janalee A. Kodak and husband Charles of Sykesville; son, William Daniel Murphey and wife Jane of Prescott, Arizona; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Garrison Forest in Owings Mills, MD. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
