Jake was a friend to all and there was nothing he would not do or try to do for his friends. Always smiling, always willing to chat, he was so very friendly no matter where he was.
We have a beautiful lamp in our home made by Jake when he worked at FSK. We told him what we wanted and he said he could do it and he did. That was at least 30 years ago.
That man will be greatly missed.

Dear Mrs. Hiner, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad and difficult time. May you feel God's comforting presence more intensely than ever. My, husband, Wilbur, and I know how much Uncle Earl valued his life-long friendship with your husband and we were always so happy you could come to dinners with him at my mother's house despite often last minute invitations. May your family close by, your wonderful memories, and the prayers of many bring you strength and comfort during this most difficult time.. Very warmly and prayerfully remembering you and yours, Sandy and Wilbur Wright

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Hiner's passing. During my school days I had two very special bus drivers; Mr. Hiner for high school transport and Bob Devilbiss for elementary. Both were special and seemed to love their jobs. I remember Mr Hiner always having a smile and being very friendly and liked by everyone. One day on our way home on the bus an elderly man had gotten himself trapped between his tractor and his garden equipment as the tractor apparently drifted backwards pinning him. Mr. Hiner saw him and immediately pulled the bus over and ran over to free the man. That day Mr. Hiner was our "hero"...
